Thesis title: Winter Respiratory Risk Prediction in Adults

Ruonan Pei is a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh.

Ruonan’s UK-wide study is developing a winter respiratory risk prediction model for adults using rich longitudinal data from across the UK. It combines Scotland-specific data accessed via Public Health Scotland鈥檚 eDRIS platform with wider UK datasets through the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (UK LLC). The study links socio-demographic, clinical, and meteorological variables to predict outcomes such as winter respiratory hospitalisations, unscheduled care, and mortality.
